September and October is an excellent time of year to visit south Florida. The summer heat has cooled down and most of the tourists have returned home. Many children are in school now, leaving the week day tours for the adults to enjoy without the crowds. Morning tour times during the week allow for pleasant cruising on the waterways, then a delicious lunch at one of the excellent restaurants located in CityPlace. Check out Taverna Opa for their famous $5 lunch menu, good selection and very yummy! See you on the duck - the DivaDuck!

The best way to beat the heat is a cruise on the water. The Intracoastal Waterway is calm and crystal clear, just beautiful this time of year. Many of our school aged friends will be going back to school soon and we wish them a successful year of learning. DivaDuck will still be open everyday for tours through Labor Day. Then a limited schedule will be offered until mid November. Hope to see you on board the DivaDuck!

"Summertime and the Livin' is easy"...so the song says and this time of year can be easy on the wallet as well. Summer is a time for families to spend time together, visiting relatives, relaxing around the pool and exploring the sights of the surrounding area. West Palm Beach has a lot to offer: shopping at CityPlace, riding the trolley around the downtown area, and of course seeing the sights by land and water on the DivaDuck Amphibious Vessel. Tours leave from CityPlace every day and take passengers through downtown West Palm Beach, a cruise on the Intracoastal Waterway (don't worry no barge traffic here!) then over to Palm Beach for a land tour past many historic sights on the Island of Palm Beach. So give us a call, 561-844-4188 and we'll quack you up!

Greetings all beach lovers! Palm Beach has one of the most beautiful beaches in south Florida. Plenty of parking, lots of shells and beautiful blue green ocean. The only oil found here is suntan oil. Take a ride on the amphibious tour boat DivaDuck to see the area and hear  some of the history surrounding this beautiful island. From Henry Flagler 1800's to Bernie Madoff of today the hits just keep on coming!

Happy Mother's Day to all Moms! DivaDuck had a great weekend with all our ducky customers, especially all the Moms. Thank you to all the families who made this weekend so special for the ladies in your lives.

Back to my series on Palm Beach for Free! One of the most beautiful places to visit on Palm Beach is the Bethesda-by-the -Sea Episcopal Church. Located on  South County Road just south of the Breakers Hotel, the majestic "Gothic" style architecture and the exquisite stained glass windows make the place a must see. After you tour through the church, check out the Cluett Gardens located behind the courtyard area. The gardens and reflecting pool offer a quiet and peaceful spot for rest and contemplation. The reflecting pool has some of the biggest Koi fish I have ever seen.

DivaDuck tour goes right past the Church and we will certainly give you directions and more information during our tour. So come "Do the Duck" and learn about even more places to visit for free in Palm Beach, Fl.

Everyone loves a good deal, especially when that means Free! Palm Beach may be the home of the most wealthy folks in the world, but there are many activities in Palm Beach that won't cost you a dime. First of all I recommend a walk (or bring your bike) on the North Lake Trail. Starting at The Society of Four Arts by the Lake Worth Lagoon, head north past the Royal Poincianna Chapel and the 200 year old Kapok tree and see the spectacular Flagler Museum, built by Henry Flagler in the early 1900's. These are just a few of the many sights to see for Free! Stay tuned for more info on this blog throughout the week.

DivaDuck was founded in 2002, with the idea that this tour would be a good opportunity for families to do something together. All ages enjoy the DivaDuck adventure! We've had Great Grand Parents, oldest was 102 that I know of, birthday celebrations, and young children still in mother's arms. So, bring the whole family and enjoy a beautiful cruise!

Customers tell us quite often of good restaurants and good deals in the area around downtown West Palm Beach. Typically, a group of passengers will either go to breakfast and then do the DivaDuck or they will go sightseeing with DivaDuck and then have lunch in the area. Two of the many wonderful restaurants I'd like to recommend to you are Bellagio at CityPlace and Forte on Clematis Street. These are both very good (if not excellent)! First of all, Bellagio is open for breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. The breakfast runs from 7:30am-11am and the price for a full breakfast starts at $4.95 Check them out! Second, Forte Restaurante on Clematis Street is open for lunch and dinner. I've eaten there twice and can't wait to go back! The service is world class and the food is out of this world! Try the fried calamari and then the beet salad, just so delicious! Here are the phone numbers and addresses: Il Bellagio 561-659-6160 CityPlace and Forte Restaurante 561-833-3330 located at 225 Clematis Street, WPB, Fl.  Don't forget to take the DivaDuck and hear of other fabulous restaurants and sights in the Palm Beach area.
