Happy Halloween! Lots of fun events going on all over town so get your costume together and go have fun! One event we find very ghoulish is the G-Star School of Film & Design's Haunted House. This was rated by the Travel Channel as one of the top 10 scariest Haunted Houses in the country. Located on Congress Avenue just south of Forest Hill in Palm Springs, Fl.
Also, check out MoonFest held on Halloween night right on the streets of downtown West Palm Beach. Clematis Street in the 500 Block will have a live band and O'Sheas Pub is always happening! Starts late, so get a nap first!
DivaDuck staff will be attending Devil's Night at the Norton Sculpture Museum. This is sponsored by the Gentlemen of the Garden who are charged with caring for the sculpture grounds at the Norton. Should be a blast!
As always, DivaDuck is running tours all weekend and has some great coupon offers available on this web site and by calling the office! DivaDuck enjoys taking many childrens' group tours during the summer months. Rates start at $600 for a 1 hour tour for non-profit organizations - with passenger capacity of 49. Call us any time 561-844-4188 for more information. We may even be able to pick your group up!
This morning we had a camp group from Coleman Park, Summer Camp Program provided by City of West Palm Beach Parks and Recreation. DivaDuck Vessel drove right down Tamarind (what a sight!) to 21st Street and picked the excited children up at 9:30am. Did you know that Coleman park was home to one of the first "Black" BaseBall Teams in the U.S.? Come over and check out all the memorabilia on display at Coleman Park.

Just recently, a reporter from the Tampa Bay area of Florida rode the DivaDuck and has posted his comments online. We have added his blog here for your enjoyment:
The following is Scott Fais' weekly blog detailing discoveries made while traveling through Florida and along the road of life.
Like airplanes, most ducks have wings. And most buses have wheels. While boats don't have either... until now (follow me here).
Cue up the "Diva Duck" in downtown West Palm Beach. Imagine a sightseeing tour bus that does a little off-roading, well... actually, a lot of off roading. We've done our fair share of going off-road with Florida on a Tankful during the past two years but nothing like this!
Folks climb aboard this blue tour bus, reminiscent of those in New York and London and get a look at the sights of West Palm. But it's quite a sight when the tour bus visits the public boat ramp and hits the water. That's right, the driver actually plows right into Florida's Intracoastal Waterway and doesn't look back. This bus transforms into a boat by just adding water. Located under the back bumper and between the rear tires is a propeller- just like those found on inboard boats. From pavement to liquid, the Duck motors along passing celebrity mansions, the stately homes of dignitaries and palaces belonging to the families of inventors. While you're gawking at the real estate, other boats on the water will be gawking at you. Folks are stunned to see the Duck spinning around. After all, this is a floating bus.
The driver uses his Ford steering wheel to tell the boat what direction to follow. Meantime, a knowledgeable guide spiels history, area lore, fun facts and acts as a radio DJ, spinning tunes right on cue.
When the time comes, most passengers' find their jaws wide with wonder as the boat floats up to the launch ramp and again becomes an earth crawling vehicle. The transition from boat back to four-wheeled bus is a smooth one.
In all, the experience lasts a little longer than an hour. Come prepared. There are no restrooms on board. Stop at the Panera Bread (like I did) just prior to boarding. The Diva Duck leaves from it's "dry dock" in downtown West Palm Beach's "CityPlace" shopping area. The outdoor, pedestrian friendly mall features several shops and places to eat in style. However, you'll need to leave your car in the parking garages on site. We taped this story in about a span of 2 hours, 30 minutes. Our parking garage fee was $3.00.
A trip on the Diva Duck is perfect for those who love racing, gear heads or inventors. Those into large homes or seeing how the upper 1% of the population lives will enjoy it too. The waterfront homes are amazing.
Until Next Week, Safe Travels!
-SCOTT
